Hey, guys! It's late Wednesday night (or early Thursday morning for you exacting types) and I come bearing updates!!
I had a lot of fun this evening. However, I failed on the phone number part of things.
One was very touchy-feely with me (head on shoulder, arm around my waist, fingers entwined with mine) but at the same time I got the feeling she was attached to the friend she was with, perhaps romantically so. My fault there is not coming straight out and asking, my good was that I kept the interaction going and escalated nonverbally.
Another was amazed with my singing, talked to me, held my hand for a while, blushed when I told her she looked beautiful, and was generally receptive to me. She left while I was on stage singing. My good points there were being forward and pushing a bit, my failure was, again, not sealing the deal by asking for her number.
A third came up on stage with me while I sang John Legend's "All of Me". She held my hand, stared into my eyes, and I sang to her, touching her cheek and dancing with her while I sang, Again, didn't ask for her number and she left almost immediately afterward.
A fourth... after the bar closed, I was out and hanging out on the sidewalks. We were talking and she was a musician too (Saxophone) and had played some drums as well as took choir. She asked me what the top of my range was, and in response I sang Christine's cadenza from "Phantom of the Opera". She blushed and said my voice was amazing, then she leaned into me and pulled me down to her, giving me a kiss on the lips. Her friends then immediately took her because they were leaving, too fast for me to stop her to grab her phone number. She did say she'd be at Karaoke next Wednesday, so fingers are crossed.
I need to get better at the asking for the number and sealing the deal. Four opportunities tonight and missed all of them. I had a hell of a good time though, so not all was lost. Love to hear from you all!!
